Matt Dumba was picked by Minnesota in the first round of the 2012 NHL entry draft. Dumba earned a spot in the Wild lineup to start the 2013–14 season and made his NHL debut on October 5, 2013, against the Anaheim Ducks, becoming the first player of Filipino descent to play in the NHL.
